Past
Employment.

Between Autumn 1997 and Summer 2003, I held a Doctoral Fellowship
at the Department of Social and Economic Geography, Umeå
University. My main duty consisted of working in the project
"Telemedicine in urban and rural areas," which
resulted in my Ph.D. thesis, titled Spatial Diffusion
of Telemedicine in Sweden.
During my time at the department I also did some teaching,
primarily on the department's GIS courses.
I have also functioned as Internal Evaluator in the Swedish
part of the project Telematic Services for the Elderly (TSE),
which focused on coordinated care planning for elderly patients
using videoconferencing. The project was carried out by
the municipality of Vännäs, the county council
of Västerbotten, and Center for Information Technology
in Northern Sweden (CINS).

Current
Employment.

Since August 2003, I am employed as a researcher
at SMC in Kiruna. I also have some teaching duties at the
geography department in Umeå.
|
| Projects.

I'm currently working in a project that uses
microsimulation to study the socio-economic effects of establishing
a nuclear waste repository in Sweden.
Previously, I assisted in the development of a microsimulation
model (LISA) focused on income and labor market analysis,
and participated in a study using this model to investigate
the interrelationships between different kinds of income.
